Tack ring bearing

The tack ring of the RF90 furler features a double axial bearing, which reliably absorbs even the highest loads. To prevent a concentrated load on the bearing the loads are distributed over the entire bearing via spreader plates.

manual drive

The special emergency manual drive fitted to the RF 90 offers complete safety to the user. Through the simple insertion of a standard winch handle the hydraulic drive is uncoupled and switched to manual operation. Thanks to a special gear mechanism, which prevents transfer of the sail load to the winch handle, the reefing system can be operated easily and safely even in manual operation mode.

Integrated length adjuster

All systems in this range have an easy to operate length adjuster, which ensures that mast and sail can be trimmed to best effect. From model RF90-4 upwards the adjustment is hydraulically supported.

The third generation halyard swivels are equipped with robust stainless steel bearings. Load distributor plates distribute load peaks equally among the bearing.

Carbon foils

These high performance carbon-sections are very strong for a very low weight. The sections offer a much better sail performance due to a weight saving of approx. 50%-60% compared to aluminium sections.
