With Catharina Schuldt 4th generation joins family business

The long-established Reckmann company has already successfully stood for absolute quality and innovation in the development of yacht equipment for over 125 years. With Catharina Schuldt, the fourth generation is embarking in the company and going forward will be strengthening the team supporting her father Marcus Schuldt.

With the entry of the engineering graduate Marcus Schuldt in 1991, Reckmann was already being run in the third generation by the Schuldt family. From April 2020 daughter Catharina Schuldt will now also be on board enriching the Reckmann team with her professional competence and expertise in the company’s business.

Working in the family business is not exactly uncharted waters for Catharina: “I have grown up with the company. Even my work experience spells while still at school were done here,” she states. “Through the years, I had the opportunity of accompanying my father to a vast range of exhibitions, such as the Monaco Yacht Show, gaining my first insights into the field of mega-yachts.”

After university entrance exams, Catharina successfully studied for a dual education degree in industrial engineering and management, thereafter gaining her first professional experience. Going forward she will be strengthening Reckmann’s project management for the Sailtec range.

We welcome Catharina as an addition to our family-owned business. We are pleased that we at Reckmann can head into the future strengthened by a further generation.
