SAILTEC: Reckmann aquired well known brand

Christian Gnass has sold the business activities of SAILTEC Projekt GmbH, in the market known as SAILTEC Custom Projects, to Reckmann Yacht Equipment GmbH. Transfer date was May 31st, 2015.

SAILTEC Custom Projects supplies their own system solutions for super yachts and architecture, Often SAILTEC is defined by its Textile Engineering know-how. SAILTECs affinity to textiles and their modern processing in pre-stressed membrane structures resulted in shading systems, such as sun awnings and sun roofs, to become SAILTECs core products.

The deal concerns all of the super yacht and architectural business with SAILTEC-owned products. Reckmann takes over the Sailtec Custom Projects Logo, existing products and product names. Stock, workshop, website and the technical team will also move to Reckmann. Christian Gnass will stay on board for a while as well, as a consultant for the SAILTEC products. So for existing customers continuity and spare-part service are guaranteed.

Reckmann Yacht Equipment GmbH is located in Rellingen near Hamburg, is a family run business with a history of almost 125 years, and a team of about 30 specialists. Reckmann is internationally known in the sailboat and the super yacht business, for example they are world market leaders with their super yacht sail furling systems.
